Is there a free phpbb 3 host that comes with good mods installed and the ability to edit styles

I would suggest just hosting yourself via novahost.org, which is a very good host. Not sure what good phpBB3 hosts are out there though.

And I hope no one suggests freeforums, they are the worst host EVER. I don't join forums hosted by them as a general rule.

Host it yourself(like the others said) and download plugins off the official phpBB forums

Yes,but that was when Freeforums wasn't full of little kids and crappy staff.

For a free phpbb host I would go with forumotion. Either that or host your own phpbb3 forum.

Everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

The best hosting is paid hosting or even a free web host. Maintain phpbb3 yourself. Dont let some free forum host be the real owner of your forum.

If you really want a free host, I would go with ProPHPBB. In fact, that's who I'm with now, and I have not had a single bit of downtime since I signed up a forum with them last Sunday. It's really amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone in desperate need of a forum host. However, when you request a mod to be added, it must be something they think will benefit everyone's forum, not just one or two forums. It's kind of hard to explain. However, they now offer paid hosting as well, so you could even host your forum yourself with that host. Oh yeah, link: http://www.prophpbb.com Good luck!

The only good thing about us starting at Freeforums was we got a free domain and free year of advanced hosting (although Lunarpages were s**t) and because of that we got a free copy of the db. Alot of free hosts don't allow you move or you have have to pay $50 for a copy of the db. Luckily we got it all for free and got the hell outta there.

Freeforums are getting some new enermies from the looks of it on phpBB.com - http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1817845
