I'm gonna have some spare time over the weekend since my family are going away so I decided to make a couple o' phpBB MODs.

Any suggestions/requests?

SimplePoints, Edit Logo and Banlist. All the ideas were taken from the phpBB database for practice purposes, but will not be distributed to the public.

I'll still be doing the WordPress plugins, I plan on doing both. 🙂

These you plan on making will be for the public I hope?

If so here are some ideas:

1. Post/Topic soft delete. a new button that you (admin or mod, other usergroup with the right permission) can hit to soft delete a post/topic.

How exactly the topic or post would display after being soft deleted I don't know but I guess you could find a way.

2. OP of topic on all pages. The first post of a topic will reappear on each page of the topic. so on page 2,3,4 etc the first reply will be the first post of a topic.

This exists already as a vBulletin feature.

3. Link Preview on hover. You can see a preview of the external website when hovering over the link.

I have tons and tons more of mod ideas but I'll think this is ok for now. :great:

Today I feel the importance of a gift mod.The gift mod will be available to all members and they can send gift to other member for some Ultimate points(forum cash).The gifts can be listed in miniprofile in topics and profile too.

Reference:Medal Mod
Medal mod already has ability to list out medals in mini profile+profile+sending medal,etc. So all of this will be easy and just few modification is only required like giving user access to send Medal(here gift).









And many people will love to have such gift mod.If you like you can work on this.
