phpBB Style

I'm tired of seeing loads of phpBB styles with just the color changed. I am in the middle of creating a style for phpBB and was wanting some input on what everyone would like to see in a style.

1. It will be a light theme
2. It will base around Bootstrap
3. Modal login box (got to 🙂 )
4. Custom who's online area
5. Custom postbit

I have based it on prosilver, but I am quite tempted to have a subsilver based one too for those who can't be bothered with modifying the style themselves.

13th October 2015 - Forum list completed (still editing colors)...
14th October 2015 - nav dropdowns completed!
14th October 2015 - post switched to left!
15th October 2015 - started work on profiles...

Cody and I actually did quite a few things to improve the usability of phpBB when making the current FP style. One of my favorites is the "Post a Reply" page, which is designed to be more similar to the XenForo page. Also there are the stats (which are shown with large numbers on the index) and the postbit, which has gone over very well. We also removed a few things from phpBB that were pretty useless, like sorting posts in a thread in a different way.

Yes Matt, phpBB has a lot of junk to be taken off in my opinion.

Currently working on the dropdowns, the quick links and profile dropdowns are working, just working on the notification one. Once that is completed, I am moving on to creating a nice forum list look, and then onto the postbit. More screenshots to come!

Still a fair bit to go. I still need to complete the dropdowns for each of the menus. Although i have the Quick Links and Profile dropdowns working, I am just working on the Notification one now. Thats just the header.

I am completely revamping the forum list view too, the whos online block and the postbit.

That is looking really nice, really interested to see how you plan to do the thread placement of the user profile vs post. If you go for more of a pro-silver or classic style.

Well it depends really. Would people prefer a prosilver based postbit or a subsilver? I don't mind any but prefer the profile on th left hand side of the post than the right.

Anyway, maybe something like the XenForo profiles? Avatar on the left, then all the profile data in a box on the side of the avatar. Something like that. :lol:

Sorry for the delay in the new screenshots for the profiles everyone! Will have them soon hopefully. Just working out some kinks in the style first.

Looking good; header is awesome. I think the H2 would look better without the rounded corners though. Oh, and a different font.
