Phpbb Users - Admin Toolkit

Hey,

As I was looking through the Phpbb support forum I noticed one of their staff had a link in their sig to an admin toolkit: http://starfoxtj.phpbbhelp.org/phpBB/toolkit/index.php

It's designed for use in an emergency and can be uploaded and left on the server or uploaded as and when it is needed. The kit will help with quickly removing imposter admin/mod accounts and remove hackers defaces by detecting malicious data. I tried it out and it was really easy to set-up and seemed really useful but my forum isn't hacked so I couldn't test it. But try it out if you're in trouble.

Thanks for the share. Most people have woken up to the fact that a strong password will prevent security issues on your websites, even so this looks like a handy tool to have just in case ~smile~

Any ideas on how secure it is?

You can upload it when and if you need it so there wouldn't be any additional security problems when it is not on the server. Only if you keep it on the server might there be a problem.

Yeah only need to use as and when. It was in the sig of an admin at the official phpbb community forums so I think it is reputable.
