phpbb3 administator login problems?

Once again, I can't login to the admincp on software: phpbb3, Version: 3.0.5.

I login it says proceed to admincp, then it says.

Access to the Administration Control Panel is not allowed as you do not have administrative permissions.

Is this a file problem, or did is this a browser problem, or is this a programming problem? 😕

It might either be cookie problems, or permission problems, do you have access to phpMyAdmin on your Database?

Yes, I am using cPanel. 🙂 I don't think its my Database, I will try to cookies, one min.

It is most likely your Permissions were not set properly, or have been meddled with. Go to your phpBB database, click on phpbb_users and then click browse. Look for the row with you username in it, and click the pencil next to it. Now tell me the following things:

user_type
group_id
user_permissions

It's not the permissions, if Palace installed the board and didn't change any of his permissions or his usergroups then it won't be that.

The person who installs phpBB has all access over the board.

I installed the phpbb. 😛 I didnt change any the permissions for the administators..just for the community team, review team, package team. On it. 😛

As i can see, the board hasen't got much added to it, except that theme.

So i suggest you download the /styles/bluesilver folder from your FTP.

Then delete everything in the FTP and re-upload a fresh install, do the DB and all that again, upload the /bluesilver folder you downloaded from your FTP earlier to your FTP folder again and the install it through the ACP.

You could always leave it there and delete everything other than that, but it'll be a pain to delete it all without deleting that folder 😉.

Try clearing your cache by going to your cache folder and just deleting the files...
