Hey guys.. i am new to phpbb3 software.. So i wanted to ask how do i change the banner? and i will ask one thing by one thing..

Just go into your FTP, and change the logo.png or logo.gif, from the theme you are using.

Depends what you are running, are you using a free-based phpbb3 forum or did you upload it to your server yourself?

What style are you using ? This is what I did. Go to the top of your banner. Right click on it and then Properties. It will tell you the file path and then the file name and extension type PNG,GIF, or what ever it is. I would suggest saving a copy of the default file in case anything happens. Go into your file manager and load your new replacement banner (over write) that has been re-named to the exact same file name as the banner you are replacing. It should be the same format if it is not you can load it into paintshop or another program and save it as the needed file format/extension. The Overall size must be relevent also. I have done this several times with good results but understand this. I have not been doing this for a long time either and I will say that most of the people here are more than willing to help out with advice.

You can make the banner as large as you like providing you specify the dimensions in the ACP first.

If you are using a custom theme it is best to set your banner as the header in there as well as in the prosilver imageset.
