Do you live in an area where plastic bags are banned at stores?

Most store only do brown bags and reuseable bags that you buy at 30p each

Ours are not banned. They offer those chintzy bags that don't hold up. I believe more in education than bans. Banning something makes people WANT to do it all the more.

They have banned them in most places in Canada, I know where I am you can't get them anymore.🙄

Not completely. Effective July 1, 2020, state law (Act 69 of 2019) prohibits stores and food service establishments from providing the following single-use products: Single-use plastic carryout bags* at the point of sale. This does not apply to bags used for prescription meds, dry cleaning, produce bags, and other small bags that are not at the point of sale. Single-use paper bags can be offered at the point of sale for a minimum customer charge of 10 cents per bag, which stores keep.

*Inventory Exemption: Stores and food service establishments that purchased these single-use products before May 15, 2019 had until July 1, 2021 to use up the previously purchased product.

No. Not where I live. They still use them. I remember in the 90's when people encouraged the use of plastic bags over the paper ones saying that they kill trees.
