According to the guys at Sony the PlayStation is going 3D from tomorrow, with a select few games receiving patches (Free if you already own them, obviously you'll still have to buy the game though)
Anyone think this is going to work? I'm.. not so sure.
Of course they'll only work on 3D Tv's (they're offering the games FREE with a new Sony Bravia 3DTV) but how well do you think gamers of our generation will take to them?
I'm really surprised that sony went through the trouble of getting 3D out so quickly. Considering it takes a 3D tv to work anyways only people who have money to kick around can make use of the 3D games.
Sony are trying to show off their capabilities, especially for the PS3. Trying to show the world that they're the most forward-thinking gaming company.
Same reason they picked Blu-Ray to work with. It may be quite early, really, but they've only added 3D as a patch to a few games to go live, they're not in full 3D production just yet. They just wanted to be the first video gaming company to do it.
