How much time do you take to write a unique content with original ideas. I know there is no limit on the amount of time we do for research. But I just wanted to compare notes to understand how slow or fast I need to be or what I am doing wrong. I will appreciate all of your replies. Also what is the source of your research. Recently I read that abebooks dot com is a good source from copyblogger.

Think of yourself as an artist. You need high-quality content. Here are a few tips: "It’s not about how you sell but think It’s about how I buy".

Keep things brief
Better understand your audience
Deliver the content they need
Develop Content strategy
What They Need. When you create content, who are you creating it for?
Plan Your Content.
Determine your content Goal.

Thank you for the post. But I just wanted to know some working examples or case studies of how much effort do people really make in these blog posts. And where do they get the source idea and content from.I know they write it .But suppose I want to write about digital marketing then where do I get my ideas.Should I do my research online or concentrate on rare text books of marketing.

You can do your research and get your information anywhere, but make sure it's up-to-date otherwise no one is going to read what you're writing. The last thing you want is to give out wrong or inaccurate/outdated information. Also, make sure you're getting your information from other reliable sources. You can also take information from real life experiences, which was what I personally used a lot of when I was actively posting for my family/relationships, Familial Ramblings, blog (along with what I had learned at school).

In regards to how much time I take to write a post, to put it simply, it depends. It depends on how long the article is, what it's about and how many times I need to double check my sources. Familial Ramblings I was publishing 3 times a week because it was a lot of work and I was writing long posts. Each post took me at least an hour to write and edit (that was on a good day). For my photo blog, Fel's Photos, I post almost daily (I take Sundays off) and it doesn't take me long to post at all. That's because I don't write a lot, it focuses on the photos rather than writing a long informational post.

Either way, hope that helps, that's just my experiences though, which I'm sure are different from others.

Thank you for that reply I was looking for personal experience that gave insight to how to schedule my time. And you helped me with that. I usually write 3-4 blog post in a week .The problem is I do a lot of research and that consumes a lot of my time.

You may want to try setting side time specifically for research and then time specifically for writing posts. That way you're not trying to do it all in one sitting and you give yourself a bit of a break here and there.

Its a good tip. I start writing as soon as I finish my research. But if you write and research at different times won't it break the flow of your thought process.

Not necessarily. You take notes while you research to help trigger that thought process. I'd rather risk breaking the flow than burning out, honestly.

Very good advise. First draft is for writing, the second is for editing.
Study how concisely and simply you can put your statement. Read
over it after 2 hours or so. You'll find you almost always end up
improving it with a fresh perspective.
