Please critique my jump page

I like it a lot. Gonna need a formal content section in the main area I think, to unify things, and would also suggest flattening that drop-down arrow to match the rest of the non-gradient design 😉

I was either going to a) leave it blank, b) add a brief bio, or c) have the space fill up with content once someone selects one of the "Assignments".

I like it, looks very professional. I hope that your Instructor will be impressed.
 
There is a lot of blank space in the header that really does not need to be there. Could use the space for an ad, if this was not for your school work. For the blank content area, you could add a small description of what the site is for, a bio about yourself or what the class is about.

The overall design is very good and I think would impress your professor. 🙂
