Taken my sisters donate site:

"I'm running the Lincoln 10km road race on Sunday 21st March for Asthma UK, as I have asthma myself so I want to raise awareness that even people with asthma can still take part in sport activities"

I have asthma and will be the first to tell you, its no fun. I think since its so common, most people don't take it seriously. But they should. It's a very serious disease that can be fatal. Anyways, good luck with the race.
