Pokémon Gaming has changed!

As some you you may have saw on Pokémon Gaming Forum, we we're going to have a website for it, we have! The URL is www.pokemongaming.co.uk. Though, I bet your wondering why we've changed forum software. Well, one because I had my own host, and wanted to have the ability to back up the forum, integrate it more with the website than I could have done with the other software. The software we have now is SMF (Simple Machines Forum) and is highly customizable to pretty much any extent.

The website has a few features on it that you may have seen on the previous forum, but also has more, and more coming soon! One main thing would be the news system powered by cutenews. Myself and other staff members will post Pokémon/Nintendo related news as much as we can to keep you readers reading! 😉 Affiliates and topsites are also displayed on the website.

I'd like to say I hope you enjoy the changes, and before you ask we're not changing back, even if you hate it. If you like the changes, great! I hope you all get used to it and stay with Pokémon Gaming as it grows and grows with time and effort. If you haven't yet joined, we hope you do some when soon!

I don't know what your old site looked like, although the revamp looks pretty nice. Hoempage is nice and clear and has some fairly decent content, which should help with SEO if you update it regularly. ~smile~ Forums looking good too, SMF is a pretty decent software - however it might be worth finding someone who can make it match your homepage or find a similar skin.

The skin is a choice that I didn't want on there. Only because I want to show that a forum is for posting, the looks do matter, but really the default themes okay. Many big sites use default themes. Eventually I'm going to make a theme to match, but that's not anytime soon.

I've now edited the default SMF theme a little so it matches more with the website! 🙂
