Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Looks like Groudon and Kyogre and getting mega evolution forms.

From what I know, the 3D effect isn't going to be improved, therefore, most of the game will be played in 2D like Pokemon X/Y. Doesn't matter to me, to be honest.

I'm perfectly happy with Pokemon Y, so chances are they're games I'll skip. To tell you the truth, I'm only interested in Pokemon because of its competitive play over Wi-Fi.

What do you guys have to say about these new Pokemon games?

I'm slightly interested, but as I'm still going through Y I don't yet have the need to get a new Pokémon game, nor close to getting to that point. I also never played the original Ruby/Sapphire to get on board the nostalgia hype train, so whether I get this comes down entirely to whether the game appeals to me enough on its own merits and not to relive non-existent memories.

I'm indifferent towards the original RSE games, but I'm still fairly excited for the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games coming out. I just hope they take full advantage of the 3DS and 6th generation mechanics to make the games fantastic.

Ahhhh, I'm so excited! I loved the original Ruby and Sapphire games so I can't wait for these to come out. 😀

The new mega forms look amazing. 😛

I'm hoping for an Emerald remake at some point, too. :lol:

This is the best news ever! I'm a huge fan of Gen three, it's my favorite Generation of Pokemon and we're finally getting remakes of the most awesome Pokemon games ever IMO! I'll be getting Omega Ruby as I've always loved Ruby more than Sapphire. 😀

I honestly don't think there will be an Emerald remake (although I wish they would have done it over Ruby/Sapphire) :/

I've heard a lot about this. I remember enjoying these games a lot whenever I first played them, so it's good to see these being welcomed to a younger generation. It doesn't feel like that long since they originally were released. It's hard to believe it has been ten years.

Dive is something I don't miss tbh but it'll extend the length of the gameplay so that's good. Btw Matthew, keep an eye out for one of my giveaways around the games' release, 😉

Gonna bump this since a load more information has been released since the last post. :3

There's a ridiculous amount of Mega Evolutions now. It kinda feels like they're going to eventually replace regular evolutions for some of the older Pokemon. Some of them are interesting, but I feel like there's way too many now, ugh.

Mega Slowbro got eaten by its shell though, so that's a plus. :0
