Well, I've got this idea for a forum which I think could be pretty good, but I'm not sure whether I'll have the time or motivation to get it off the ground. I thought I'd get opinions of it before I did anything.
Right, so I suspect a lot of you may have played the Pokemon games. One 'trademark' of the Pokemon games is the ability to 'trade' your Pokemon from game to game.
Now, if you had played the games during the early 00's, you may be familiar with the Pokemon Stadium games on Nintendo 64. These games had an 'Oaks Lab'-type area where you could store your Pokemon and later retrieve them. A lot of gamers used this to store their prized Pokemon if they restarted their games.
Later on, they released Pokemon Box on Gamecube and My Pokemon Ranch on WiiWare. They went along with the 'storage' concept, but removed the option to withdraw Pokemon that didn't have your Trainer ID number, eliminating the option to store your Pokemon and restart your game.
That's where my forum idea comes into play. There would be Pokemon games set aside by staff members which would act as 'storage devices' for members Pokemon (traded by WiFi, so it will only be available to people with the Pearl/Diamond/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver games). Once they stored their Pokemon, they could keep record of it in the forum (kinda like how RP forums have profiles) and withdraw them whenever they like, even if they had restarted their games.
I think it could really help some people if it kicked off the ground and I haven't heard of another forum doing this. What do you folks think?
