Politest Way To Kick Someone Out Of Your House

So, say someone's overstaying their welcome - maybe even being rude. How would you ask them to leave?
Would you be delicate, or would you just give it to them straight?

Personally I've never really been in the situation and I hope I never am. Though I have had people come over who I don't really wanna see - but generally I just tell them in advance I have things to do after time X.

Give it to them straight. If they do not understand, then they can get the heck out and are not welcome.

I would just make an excuse about having to go somewhere or something like that. I don't really have the assertiveness to tell people when they're crossing the line, which is something that gets me in trouble a lot...

My wife is very 'let's never hurt anyone, be delicate' and she often gets mad at my bluntness. I worry for when someone is rude in our home, which is why I pray it never happens. I'll probably say some things and get in trouble from the wife-boss. 😛

If they were being rude in my home, I'll just be honest about it. And that would be "Get the hell out of my territory, before I shove you out" in soft voice with a smile.
