Politics Forum

Given that you don't have enough FP$ for a formal review, I'm marking this as a community feedback topic. Meaning you'll receive informal feedback from the community and you can request a formal review by replying to this topic later when you wish and once you've earned enough FP Cash.

Anyways, your site is interesting. It's called Politics Forum but the only category "open" by default in your accordion style layout is the off topic/community boards. It would make more sense to open the politics forum by default, or ditch the accordion style tabs all together.

That's odd. When I go to the site, all the tabs are open except the first one. But I'll go ahead and remove that feature.

And now that I see all the categories open at once, I see you've fallen into the same forum sin so many others do: too many sections. You've got some forums with hundreds of threads, and others with less than 10 and some even with 0. Those that are lacking content can either be sub-forums of your more active sections or just move those topics you do have there into the more active forums. A mix of both solutions will probably be necessary.

I shouldn't be infinitely scrolling down your index. Define your niche and focus on that, rather than trying to offer a section for every possible thing related to it. What is your community most interested in? (This is easily answered by looking at your most popular, active sections.) What are you interested in? Those two things will aid you greatly in defining your niche.

That's why I had the collapsible categories.

That doesn't negate the need to fill your sections with content. You're just employing a deception tactic by hiding it away.

What do you think of it now? I changed the theme and thinned out the categories.

Definitely an improvement. Some more things you can do:

- Your Film category can be all one forum (maybe with a couple sub forums) and go in the Entertainment category.

- Similarly, Science, Sci Fi, and Tech category can be all one forum (with a couple subs) in Entertainment.

- Member Boards (cool concept) can go as sub forums under one main forum in the Community category.

- The forums in "topics4you" seem active, but are also a mix-match of various topics. Try to either organize them better or consolidate them into various parts of the Community category.

Doing all of that cuts your categories in half and doesn't get rid of any content/section areas. It just organizes it and makes it a lot more presentable to guests and members.
