Hey everyone! I'm excited to announce that my forum, Poliwager Forums, has officially reached 15 years of age, as of April 10, 2024! It's crazy to think about how the site is that old, but we've managed to stay up and going, and now have more than 63,000 posts, 2,400 topics, and 1,000 total users on the forum! Thanks for joining if you've been there over the years!

15 years and I've never heard of it? Wow. I like the name however it looks like an inactive PHPBB2 forum with outdated software. If you owned poliwager.com, it would be worth more however - I would be interested in purchasing it if you are interested.

Congratulations on your success, and happy anniversary for your site 🙂

Your interpretation of a site's worth is not everyone's. Some people like a vintage look, some people prefer a smaller community, and not everyone can afford a premium domain. @Slix's site is doing fine, it has survived 15 years, that is an accomplishment and a community that has worth all of its' own.
I'd probably pay $100 at most for the domain, the site/database only has 1,000 members within 15 years.
Statistics are not everything. I ran a massive online community for many years (139,000 members), and I ran a very small one for nearly 2 decades (124 members). Both have similar value to me, and are not commodities I would dispose of. Communities are far more than their metrics.

That's a great opinion but the facts/stats say it all for this site's success, this site is more like a Google adsense website and is not even an active community.

Some helpful advice: Maybe try updating software first, reorganizing the forums, and then establishing a site theme. I see two themes - one for the forum and one for the main website.

By your standards. We don't all aspire to the same thing. Nothing wrong with a smaller community, success is different for each one of us.

Suggestions are more than fine, but to suggest a site is failing because it isn't a massive booming community isn't constructive or accurate. That's all I'm saying.
Nobody wants to join an inactive community @PGen98. If you can't handle critique/advice, you shouldn't be running a website.

And some prefer a smaller group. Critiquing is fine, so long as it is constructive. "Your site isn't big enough for my standards" is not constructive. Opinion != Fact

Happy birthday, Poliwager! Congratulations on a successful 15 years! Here’s to many more

Stop spamming before I report you to an administrator. I never even said that.
If you feel I am, then please do. But your messages have consistently been dismissive of the site because of it's size, and while you did go back and add in some "helpful advice" to one post at one point, the general idea has remained the same. Minus the now trivial chatter here. I suggest we both cease responding to this topic and allow @Slix to continue celebrating their achievements, as is the point of this topic.

Heck yeah congratulations on 15 years! I can't recall if I ever joined this forum... I'll have to check. I've joined so many forums throughout the years it's hard to keep up! I do recall writing a review for the site when I was part of the review team here though years ago. 🙂
