So, Portable Apps is a program that allows you to turn a thumb drive, or an external hard drive, or whatnot, into something that you can use to carry portable editions of various programs around with you, so that you can use something that someone else may not have on their computer.
Have you used it before? If so, which app do you use the most with it?
I expected more people to know about it, since it is something that can help people use programs that they use at home, while somewhere else, like at a hotel or school.
I also have never heard of anything like this before, but it does seem useful especially to those who are on the road a lot. I think this would be convenient. Though I don't think I would really make much use for it myself.
I used to use it when I was at school and wanted to use Chrome or Firefox. It's very good however any program running off a flash drive will be much slower and sometimes wasn't worth the hassle. Definitely something to have on the pen drive though!
I use portable Apps on computers with smaller hard drives, or if I don't want to install the program on my computer, but I sometimes use the program a few times a year, but rarely use them on a daily basis.
Portable Apps could be useful for cheaper Windows 8 tablets which only have 32GB of storage space.
