PoseidonTech

Good day, reviewer at your service 🙂

Review: I really like your template. Clean and stylish and looks very web 2.0 which is perfect for a tech blog. Your banner sn't very attractive in my opinion... it does not really blend with the forum. There are loads of tech blogs/ forums out there and you need to stand out from them, to be honest right knwo your forum isn't. Think of maybe some services you could give to do with tech, maybe even have a blog to go with your froum so you can get some extra traffic from it!

Extra notes: Good forum, nice and stylish. try and stand out from the crowd. Please +rep if you believe I have been helpful 🙂

Thanks for the comment. rep+
I've been getting comments about the banner so I'll be sure to replace it. As for uniqueness I was thinking of making screencast tutorials.

I quite like the look of the forum, love the skin as I´ve never seen it before. All I can suggest is more promoting.

Thanks TayneC8! We are working on that. 😎

The forums aren't that bad, but I find the template resembles the default one a bit too much. What really needs jazzing up is the forum names and descriptions. Instead of "Operating Systems - Argue about the latest OSes," why not use something more creative, like "Hello, I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC - Discuss the latest operating systems that power your computer or machine."

That's just an example. I don't like my own name for that, but you get the idea. phpBB SEO wouldn't be a bad idea either, if you can get it to run.
Good luck, though.

Oh, forgot to mention. Don't use Absolution (for the reason that everyone uses it these days), but you can take a look at how a theme like that one resembles the default less.

Hmm it's hard to replace the theme because there are such mixed reviews on it.
Last time I tried phpbb seo it didn't run. 🙁
I like your suggestion on forum descriptions! Thanks for the feedback. 😀

Well, I realize you want to keep phpBB and nothing's wrong with that. With file edits, you have to look twice or even three times to check if you made all the right errors, backup your files, and most importantly, read the instructions. It is worth it once you get it working, though, don't give up.

Well I know it's worth it but even the premodded version of phpbb didn't work.
I'm not sure if my webhost does not support it or what. 🙁

Are you on an Apache server or one that's compatible with Apache stuff? That's all you need. Most servers are apache.

Yes. We might plan to install a new theme/more mods.
