Thanks this is my first thing doing with out a tutorial on PS.

Looks pretty bad.
Either remove the drop shadow, or set it to 90 degree angle, and reduce the size and distance.

The bevel also looks pretty bad.

Not really, it's bland, flat, and boring.
It doesn't stand out at all, and the font is stretched a bit.
Maybe if you were new to designing overall, it'd be decent, but I've seen your portfolio, so you're obviously not new to design, but nonetheless, don't give up, just experiment, develop your own design style that distinguishes you from other designers, and I am sure you'll get better 😛

I'm new to PS this is PS.

Gimp is very similar to photoshop, I used to be a gimp user myself, my first design in photoshop was better than all my previous work in gimp lol.

I think PS is harder and since I don't have much time to work on it I don't get much practice although I think my new logo is pretty good but I would prefer not to show it yet.

Ah, but it's a good tutorial .
To put it writing would be a bit of extra work, because then I'd have to redesign it entirely.
