Ok I am looking to set up a blog based website and was wondering which if any posts to hosts would to decent enough to run the site on and are also fairly reliable. Any suggestions?

I would rather not have to pay and from what I have heard free hosts are ofted limited.

I'd rather pay a couple dollars a month for something reliable over something that is usually unreliable and I have to "work" to keep my hosting going.

Are you wanting to create a website and a blog at the same time? That's a no-no because both will fail pretty easily. It's best to pick one first. Either start with a blog, build that up, then have a website, or build up the website, get traffic to it, that use that to promote the blog.

But don't try both at the same time. It's gonna stress you out.

Like Fergal said, it would be unusual, but that won't change the minds of the thousands of people hosting with them. BTW, it's working now, so it's not a big deal.

Are you wanting to create a website and a blog at the same time? That's a no-no because both will fail pretty easily. It's best to pick one first. Either start with a blog, build that up, then have a website, or build up the website, get traffic to it, that use that to promote the blog.

No I was just going to do a blog to start with 😀 So it should all be ok
