Postloop: Automated Post Exchange

Just because we currently do not support certain software doesn't mean that we cannot or will not.

BUT - we will not likely be able to support any free hosted forums. In order to use Postloop, you'll need to have the ability to access your actual forum .php files and upload files to your server. That's because you will need to upload a Postloop file to your server in order for us to automatically track your posts. I'm not familiar with ForumMotion, but I've never seen a free forum host that let you upload files to the server.

Yes. In order for us to track posts made, we need for you to upload a file to your server...Can't do that with free hosts, so you unfortunately will not be able to use Postloop with them.

Anyone that has tried this, and you confirm this is legit, and it works? Im interested.

Give it a shot, there's really not much to lose.

If you have specific questions/concerns, I'm more than happy to answer them.

Thanks. I have read the details on your site.

The question I have is how does it really work? Like is it a bot that joins the site? How does it know what to post, where to post, how to navigate through the forum, etc?

No no no, these are real human beings making posts. From our FAQ:

How do you guys keep track of so many posts at all of these forums?

BLACK MAGIC! No, not really...Before a forum can be submitted to Postloop, the owner must upload a special Postloop file (postloop.php) to their forums. Postloop has a monitoring service running on its own servers that will periodically check all participating forums for that file. That file will report any new posts that have been made by Postloop users. All of the heavy duty tracking and calculations are done on our servers.

You join Postloop and subscribe to any participating forums. When you post at those forums, our server will know almost immediately that you posted thanks to the Postloop file that was uploaded to the forums. You'll get points for the posts you make at other forums. Other Postloop members will do the same in your forums...They will join your forums and make posts to earn their own points.

The reason it is "automated" is because all of the counting of posts and tracking who posts where is all done by our server. All you have to do is join and post.

I have been on it for a few days and it is pretty nice to be able to track posts. Got me posting. I had to upload an smf software specific php file to my forum directory. Seems to work.

Nothing to lose, you sign up, you pick n choose a forum which looks interesting, and then you subscribe to them, post on thier site, which gets you points, and then other people will post on your site to earn themselves points, which come out of your points..

So

You make 10 posts on my site, let's say you get 10 points (idk if it's a point per post or a little more/less)

I then make 5 posts on your site, earning 5 points, which are deducted from your 'balance' - so you now have 5 points left

Liek I said, numbers are for example purposes, it's really a good system though 🙂

Amazing! The future of forums - is now 😛 I signed up and am using it a LOT! Almost at the top of the forum list 😀

Thank you for the kind words, guys. Activity has been fantastic 🙂

I don't think you understand. Re-read the first post in this thread...This isn't a traditional post exchange 😉
