How would I manage / deal with posts not in English? Cause I think the people posting in another language are just spamming, I've been deleting there topics and I have suspended there posting for 1 day. Is there any plugin to stop non-english posts?

I've encountered this problem on past forums I've had. What I've done is I simply reminded the offenders that only English is to be spoken on my forums. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule: Like, for instance, say you get someone from a foreign country on your site and they don't have very good English yet, like they're just learning the language, then you can give them some benefit of the doubt and just remind them as their English improves that they need to speak English on your site. If it's just for the sake of spamming reminders through email/PM's/whatever aren't cutting it, then my last resort would eventually be a permanent ban, especially if the person knew better in the first place. On one forum I had, the person never told if they were just learning English or if they were just used to writing in their own language, so we didn't know what to make of the member at the time. After a while, we eventually ended up banning the person, after several reminders to please speak English only on our site. I don't mind if you're just learning and not very familiar with the language yet, but once you start learning language/speaking/writing skills and you start improving, then you must start writing your posts in English or you could be banned

I don't think I have ever ran into this situation before. I suppose if there was more than one member who spoke (for example) German, they could start up a "German chit chat" thread and talk with each other in their native language there in that one topic. I wouldnt have a problem with that. But if it happened all over the board in several topics, members would get confused and annoyed in no time.

Have you asked the members to speak in English? That would be your first priority. If they don't know they're not supposed to speak in other languages, then it doesn't seem fair to punish them.

Yes, I told them to speak English.

I had this situation before, but the posts were made to Fill the forum with spam/ advertise posts. so i delete them on sight.

I do not allow them, English only or don't join. Most people who use another language are usually just spammers, and as far as I know there isn't a plugin that checks for English. The point of a forum is to have a discussion, cannot do that when the majority of your forum doesn't speak the language. xD

You could always just use Google Translate. Copy and paste their post and see what it says in English.

https://translate.google.com/?oe=UTF-8& ... b#auto/en/

It's okay in my forum if it's in the right language section because that is one of my forums topics....but if it's in another area besides that we'll ask them to leave a translation in their post or try their best in English.

hate those spamer! delete all, dont need to see what they mean! 'Cause if they could not comment in English, so they don't understand what we wrote!

I am all for inclusiveness, but this is one area that cannot be embraced for obvious reasons. If the language spoken on the forum is English, then the language on the forum needs to be English. Otherwise, you will create an undesirable language barrier that cannot be monitored/moderated. Why one would join an English speaking community to speak another language no one knows is beyond me though
