This is mainly for the users who live in UK although anyone can answer it.

What would you rather have the pound or euro?

Euro is good, before we had the "Gulden" it whas very hard to understand how to call the money...

25 cent : kwartje
2,50 : Rijksdaalder
and much more...

now it's just 25 cent and 2 euro 50

so I think it's better now ~biggrin~

I hope we don't change to the Euro, it's ruining the economy.

Way to bump a four and a half year old topic.
Was just browsing through Ste's topics. And is there any rule against this?

You're staff here you tell me, I'd assume 4 1/2 years is too old to bump 😛
I don't consider this bumping. I did not do it do people would reply, I did it because the topic interested me, so I gave my opinion, after àll, that is what a forum is for.

Especially since the forum is around 4 1/2 years old (actually closer to 4 3/4 years old).

Well, from what has happened since I posted this topic thank God Gordon Brown kept us out of the Euro!

Well I'm in america so it won't effect me if it is changed but I don't think altering a countries currency would benefit greatly.

And this is a great topic, it's a shame that it is only being bumped now

Economically, the pound is probably more secure at the moment. On top of that I'm a bit of a patriot.... it will be a bad day for the British culture should the great pound sterling cease to exist

I will stick with pounds, as I have some pounds above my head 🙂

Like most people, I prefer the pound over the Euro. If the UK chooses to adopt the Euro then that wouldn't be good.

Pound, because I am used to saying it.
But Euro is worth more than Pounds?

It is? Wow, the last time I checked, a Euro was equivalent to £0.70 back in 2009. 😛

As with most of the answers in this thread, I'd go with the Pound. It's what I've grown up to use, and it'd be a shame for the UK to lose it. It's probably the only thing the UK has left, since everything else is being taken elsewhere. >.>
