My computer has shutdown 3 times today due to power outages. It's gonna die soon. 🙁

It also sucks when your doing a timed test online and poof, bye bye.

dang, it's awful during a timed test D: I'd be having a panic attack or something.

D: Maybe the teacher will be understanding though and you can just email them?

Yeah, she has to reset the test and I'll take it again so its not a huge deal, just more of a pain and panic. 😛

Ah yeah understandable, well at least that is a little less stressful than worrying about it. I remember when we had storms here and power outages were going on a lot of people had that issue and a teacher actually didn't reset the test for them. o.o

LOL. I would have complained so hard about that...

I can't remember the last time we had a power outage. When we do though they don't usually last too long.

Same here. They're so rare when I happen to live. I think we had one like 3-5 years ago. I guess the electricity system is robust and has no glitches these days. Everyone else, don't even attempt to do work on a computer unless it's a laptop.

Also, sorry to hear that, Casssper. 🙁

You may want to consider an uninterupting power supply. It won't keep the internet up, but it will keep your machine from powering off if the power goes out for a brief time (depending on the capacity of the UPS)

I have this same issue. Whenever I get snow or really high winds, a tree will always fall on the power lines (or the lines will fall over). I always use surge proof power strips to make sure my expensive electronics don't go out.
