Power Washing

Google says pressure washed uses non-heated water and power washed means you have the hot water on. I didn't know that, I suppose hot water does give it more of a boost (more cleaning power).

$199 to have them do your whole house seems reasonable. I'll bet renting one probably saves you like $50, but that buys you a day off from house work so might be worth it. 😛

That's interesting. I've never seen anyone use "heat" on a house before, so I'm curious who does that as a service? At least never in the locations I've lived in. But it makes sense, thanks for the clarification.

There is also "soft washing" which uses chemicals with the water. We had that done as well.

As far as I'm aware you probably shouldn't run hot water through a cold water pressure washer because it may damage the unit. Hot water pressure/power washers are purpose built with an integral burner. They are particularly good if there's oil or grease to remove.

I have a top of the range (cold water) Karcher which I use a lot but I had to hire a hot water unit to clean up a really bad oil spill that the previous owner of my current property had ignored for years.

Well if they are hooking up the pressure washer to your house's hose spigot then they wont have access to heated water. Only "room temp" water comes out of there. Commercial settings like a hospital, school, or an office building might have heated water coming from their hose spigots and the ability to change the temperature of the water to whatever they want.
