My myspace page is currently a PR4 which seemed pretty high to me. Is there any way I can leverage that to help my forum or in some other way.

I don't think so. Many social networks have nofollow attributes, so you'd want to focus on traffic, rather than the PR.

Myspace links are dofollow. Firefox has a great plugin that you and everybody should know about. It is called no dofolow. When clicked on it highlights nofollow links pink/red and dofollow links purple/blue. Awesome for backlink building.

But back to my point. I can add dofollow links, so I added my forum link, but I don't know if I need to add keywords to my page to help search engine ranking. If PR4 is worth anything... might I even be able to charge a few bucks to put someone else's link on my page.

BTW I am happy to confirm links on this site are do follow :great: (except for forum of the month on the homepage. I wonder why that is... hmmm.)

Well PageRank is nothing unless you can back it up with good activity, is it not? Maybe now's a good time to get adsense and what have you.

Agreed, you should put a link or two ina block of text and make sure your profile is active to gain both backlink juice and traffic. Be sure to add some folk on MySpace who you know are on forums too so then you can possibly have a small network on there. Work on it 🙂

Wait...wouldn't all the myspace pages be the same page rank considering it isn't ranking your page but the whole site? Unless that isn't how it works :S

Nope. Myspace.com is PR9, so it is different. They are internal pages recording a PageRank 🙂
