Do you ever praise your staff members for a job well done?

Well, I don't have too many staff members, 1 of which is a friend from school, so not really 😛.

Always.

As an Admin we are the ones whom rarely get any praise ( usually complaints if nothing works.)

Of course the staff should be told if they have done a good job.

Same.. As an admin, Ive always took time out to make my staffers feel appreciated.

Also a "Staff Appreciation Thread' in the staff forum (assuming you have one) is always a positive morale booster . Its sort of like a game thread. Each person replies with "I appreciate <insert name> because <insert reason>."
However some staff members may say its corny and lame but deep down they like it. 😛

I offer the occasional "good job," but I find it most effective to keep them on their toes!

Staff generally give their time without being paid for it and they deserve praise when they do their job well and it helps the community. It doesn't cost anything to say thank you or to tell someone that they did a good job, but it can mean something to the person you say it to.

Just wish people would thank us admins more.
