Appearance
At first glance the blog style seems very bland. The images included with the blog posts were real nice and thought provoking. They went with the article and showed a precursor of what the post was going to be out. The style is my biggest concern here. You have an excellent blog here. The content you post is exquisite and it can be very interesting for forum owners and other forumers. I think you need to change the theme to something a little more catchy. The plain white really is super bright and at first glance there is really no contrast between anything. Everything is a white color and it doesn't bring out any of the shapes or separations between posts. I would suggest a revamp maybe of the style as this is a pre-launch anyway. Something more catchy would definitely bring about more readers as it will look more intensive rather than bland. The logo for the current theme is decent enough, but I believe that with a revamped blog theme, a new logo would have to come along with it.
Layout
The layout is just like any other blog. You can't really improve or not improve any layout features on a blog. I think the way the posts are displayed and shown when read is fine. Everything is nice and clear. You can tell where the Continue reading links are and where everything is. So for the layout portion there really is not too much to improve.
First Impressions and Interest
When I opened the blog for the first time I have to say I wasn't very impressed and it just looked like another blog to me. However, I went a little deeper and looked through all of the blog posts and read some that interested me greatly. I thought that the content was absolutely superb. I read the articles on Forum Hour, Spambots, and Age Requirements for Staffing on forums. All three of those articles grabbed my attention and definitely interested me to the point where I kept wanting to read more and more.
Content
This is probably the biggest success you have here. I can tell, personally, that this blog is going to be successful with the right steps going forward. You have excellent grammar and content here at Forum Genius. Your content was pleasurable to read and everything was very straight forward and easy to read. Overall, the content was incredible. I have no areas of improvement at all to be honest. This is no doubt the most important part of a blog, and you did it successfully.

Overall, I love the blog. I think the content is thought-provoking and interesting. These are the types of blogs that can help people improve their forums and definitely bring about changes on other forums just solely based on the content and questions you propose in your blog posts. I am very impressed with your blog, and I don't find blogs interesting at all. Like I said though, improve the theme. With a new theme and logo, you should be successful beyond a doubt.
