Pre-Launch Review

Site Name: PromoBB
Site Type: Promotion Forum
Age: Beta Phase

Appearance
When I first clicked the URL to your forum, I liked the theme of your homepage. It was pretty "minimalistic" in terms of design styles, yet everything seemed to flow. However, I then navigated to your forum to realize that your forum has a completely different theme. While I understand one is a WordPress page while the other is a MyBB page, the differences were a bit unusual, in my humble opinion. I personally would either design or try to find a forum theme that is similar to your current homepage, as I prefer that look personally. Otherwise, the overall design of your forum looks pretty good!

Layout
I think we can make a few small changes to your forum to really improve your layout. The first of my suggestions is to remove the descriptions for the categories. I believe all of the categories are self-explainable, and in reality if a user was unsure of what goes where, they could read the board description. Next, we need to improve the menu navigation a bit. I found it a bit confusing between the two different sites. For one, I recommend adding a Home button to link to the regular home page. Secondly, on the forum, redirect the blog link to the actual blog, not the homepage. I also will add that it will be helpful to make the navigation trees look as similar as possible to avoid confusion. Lastly, although it is minor, I would add descriptions to "Development & Educative Services" and "User Marketplace & Hiring" so that it is uniform with the other boards.

First Impressions and Interest
My first impressions when I view your site are pretty good. As previously mentioned, I think your overall designs of the forums are quite nice, however I would only stick to one. You can review appearance for more details there. The one area I worry about for your (and most other promotion forums) is the "Interest" area. It is key for you to push that you are different than other forums in order to succeed. The one thing I noticed that is extremely unique to your forum is the School of Webmaster. I highly recommend that you move that page to be a board listed on the main page. I also recommend seeing if you can come up with a few more services that will make your forum unique (yet, of course you still want to make them practical ideas). The more unique your forum's services, typically the stronger the promotion forum will be.

Content
Since your forum doesn't have a large amount of content on it currently, I am going to just go over some "professionalism" issues. I think you need to proofread your forum to fix numerous grammatical errors. These mistakes appear minor, but the less of them you have, the more professional your forum will be. These are just a few from the index. Apart from that, I think the biggest focus of your forum should be focused on creating more content. Then again, your forum is in a "beta" stage, so this doesn't surprise me.
"However, if you need any help related to the site itself then you can use this section as well. "
"Add a link. You're done! As simple as that you have promoted your link. From general discussion forums to webmaster blogs to SEO services. "
"Ix nay say hey! Only if your new to the forum though. Well or if you are returning to PromoBB. You can also interview our members with questions ranging from how they improve their SEO to if they have a pet dog. " <-- What?
"These people be lurking on PromoBB" <-- Awkward
"give tips on how to cover costs or anything else to do with promotion and finance for that matter."

Words from the Reviewer
I think your forum has plenty of potential and great ideas currently. However, you have chosen one of the hardest forum genres. It is crucial that you make your forum as flawless as you possibly can. The above comments should help your forum succeed. Good luck, and keep me posted! I'll keep an eye on your progress!
