What is your preferred web host?
 
I do not really have one, to be honest even with the host that I'm with now.
 
I've used DreamHost for over 15-years now. Great VPS and Dedicated Hosting. Not sure on the shared hosting aspects.
 
I've started using DigitalOcean and it's pretty easy to get started and very scalable.
 
I used DigitalOcean but I’ve transferred over to Vultr and it’s been way better experience overall. Better speeds, too.
 
Linode and Digital Ocean. Affordable and mostly good hardware for the price.
 
a2 Hosting.

Used to use DreamHost for a few years, which was always really sluggish. They kept telling me I needed more and more resources to the point I was spending more than $100/mo on a VPS for my tiny (at the time) forum. It never improved even slightly, so I jumped ship to a basic shared hosting service with a2, which also happened to be located more remotely from me. Drastically snappier.

It's been 8 years now and never a complaint since. Even having a short service outage is pretty unheard of, and happens less than once a year.

How’s that going for you? I’m curious to know the differences. I’ll check them out.
 
Knownhost is probably my favorite hosting service. I'm currently using ionos and haven't had any issues with them.
 
I use Namecheap and I do not have any complaints, except that I have to pay for SSL every year.
 
I've just been informed by my host that I've been with them for 13-years. Dreamhost.

Dedicated server upgrade recently. Just trying to work out kinks with WordPress to speed things up.
