I saw the setting "Disable prefetching?" in my IP.B ACP and I wanted to do some research on it.

So this is something where web browsers can download things from pages that might be accessed. If they are accessed, the page will load faster. This is something I would want to enable because I'm not having any bandwidth problems and I would want pages to load faster.

I want to know what browsers would take advantage of this. Will IE, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari prefetch pages by default?

I don't think Chrome prefetches automatically - it's a feature that the user needs to turn on.

Don't know about any of the other browsers, though.

hobbies230: I use Chromium, how do you turn it on? Chrome is based on Chromium (if you didn't know)
