So on your forums do you have a prefix system?

I feel on some softwares it is a pain to set up so I only use them if they are 100% necessary however on scripts like XF it is easy so I tend to use them everywhere

nope, but saving up for an plugin that allows prefix. it's a must on forum

Prefixes are great for consolidating forums. We used to have a food forum, fitness, science and tech etc. We've consolidated all of these into General with tags because Sakuga City is too small to return all the forums from before. As the site grows, we can split out certain topics into their own subforums if they are popular. ^^

Yes, prefixes are used on my forum. They're mostly used in the news/community categories to enlabel threads: prefixes like announcements, suggestions, must read, giveaway, newsletter, etc. You're able to sort threads by clicking on the prefix so it's a good way to categorize threads as well. With MyBB it is easy to set them up, it's a settings category in the ACP where you can customize as how you like. I add different colors, bold the text, and change font size.

Agreed, they are great for informing people that are topic is no longer open for discussion, that an issue has been solved, etc. I always did have a soft spot for this mod. On my forum though, it's mostly used in the feedback section.
