Premoting an RP Site

Rp sites are tricky to start off, but once they up and runnig with plenty of active members they seem to do just fine. My problem is trying to get it off the ground, i got a few active role players that i play with and help me to keep the site active, and all post exchanges does is fill my general section.

Any suggestions on how to get more active role players at all, as i tried just about everything i can think off.

I've never had an RP site, but I'm sure they're just like any other site or forum. Just keep promoting and requesting services on a needed basis. As for active players, that I don't know.

I would say the best person to ask is Acorn, who has a great user and post base, and is a RPG forum.

Well to me I find rp sites easy to get off the ground.

Here are my suggestions

Have a few sections for rps.

Like war sports anime and other.

Then add your site to some rp topsites and directories.

Then sign up on other rp sites and put your site in your sig.

You will get more members that way.

like some of your ideas mate but,

- My whole site is an Rp (With general section to)
- Trying to find some Rp topsites and only getting general topsites,
- Most Rp sites i sign up to dont allow you to advertise your site either in a sig or a post on there site

1. Yes I notice this,but putting "subjects" would make it a bit easier to get things started. Thats just my thoughts though.

There are thousands of sites that allow you to advertise on their site as a guest. You ought to plug around on those, especially anime-related ones if your RPG is anime based. Make a slick catchy ad and plug around!
