Have you ever been presured into making a forum you really don't want to make? Friends ask you to do it or something?

Yep. I made a warez board once and that shut down a little while after it's creation. Then game a graphics site... Wasn't active at all as there are already many graphics sites out there. That shutdown.

So yeah I was pressured into making some forums.

...I've never heard of somebody pressuring you to make an online community. In my experience, most people don't care until they see the forum created, and then they start pressuring the administrator about adding new features to it.

I agree with LOG, no one can really make you create a forum but maybe the members might.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I have never been pressured to make a forum or website, put when you are the admin of a forum you have to deal with pressure.

Not really, but I've kind of been pressured to change some forum rules into rediculous ones, which I still think shouldn't be done.

No I haven't ever been pressured into making a forum. I make a forum because I want to, not because other people want me to make a certain type of forum.

If anything, when I was on advanced hosting, I was more or less pressured as to what mods I should install. Making a board was my own preference.

You may as well, one of the things you will experience when owning a forum is pressure from your members. Whether that you would be changing the rules, demoting an admin, promoting a member to administration status, or even changing the theme of the site. You just have to remember that you're the one in charge, and that you'll do whatever you want to the forum, whenever you please.
