If you sell your graphics or do custom work, what are your normal prices? How do you figure them out?

I don't know much about ohter type of graphics, but one of my friend got 500$ for a logo he designed. The average price might be anywhere from 50% to 1000$ if you work for companies

I don't do much freelance work, since I've never been a fan of the "collections" aspect. One of my early experiences in freelancing involved someone who couldn't pay me for several months, despite me doing the work, so then and there I decided to limit my freelance work, and not rely on it for income.

Usually, though, I don't charge that much. When I do do it, it's mostly for my portfolio, not for the money. I'm fortunate enough to have a pretty good job, so any money I could make on the side via freelancing doesn't impact my budget as much as the time does.

I price projects based on complexity and time involved. The key thing is to not undersell yourself..
