If you have a way for users to purchase a forum sponsorship; what is your favorite way to price your sponsorships? While if you set the price really low, more people will buy the sponsorship; but you probably won't get as much money from them as you probably could if you priced them at a decent value. While on the flip side, if you price them really high, no one will buy them. What's the best way to find a balance in the price? How much are your forum sponsorship prices?
I would value what benefits they get first obviously if you have a highly active forum and you offer premium content and/or ad space to them, you may wish to offer this ag a yearly price over a monthly one. Otherwise, I find a monthly value of around $5 a good price. 20 members purchase this and that earns you $100 a month at least.
There was only one time that I sponsored a forum and I did that for $10. The experience kind of left me jaded actually because the forum ended up being sold off. $10 from my experience tend to be the general amount.
Well this depends what I can offer to my forum sponsors. If I can offer something great that is irresistible to buy, then maybe $100 a month. A good example may be a gaming forum offering free game downloads (good games), prize draws for consoles and premium guides. If there is just like coloured rank and removal of ads, then maybe $5-$10 a month. You need to balance it by thinking how much the things you are offering is worth.
The best way to get forum sponsors if advertising in my opinion. If people know you offer something great, they will buy it.

When I ran FeedbackExchange, I structured it to give users options at multiple price ranges:
- Gold Member (~$15 lifetime): For this, the user got some good, permanent benefits at a low cost.
- Sponsor (~$5 per month): For this, the user got some good benefits, plus free ads, etc.
- Advertisements: On top of premium memberships, I sold various banner ads.
Overall, it worked pretty well. Most of my advertisers were owners of web hosting companies, since it was the webmaster niche, but I actually managed to sell a good number of premium memberships and ads. Works well, if you make the purchasable items available, have a large enough forum, and structure the prices well. Just give the customer a lot of options that are individually cheap, but add up to a good amount.
