I'm starting a small local web design company and I'm really confused on how to price projects. I'm hoping some of you might be able to help me get an idea of what to charge.

I'm doing basic design, getting the domain right, using wordpress as a base. So I'll install wordpress, design and install a custom design based on whatever the customer wants, get everything to work plug-ins and design wise, and teach them how to use it. Thinking about offering some services like maintaining - like updating the software and etc.

I'm not designing Google. We're talking basic for local businesses. How should I price my work??

Basically the same as I am doing. Me and my business mentor thought that people on low income should get one price, while general should be charged around $100-$150.

Depending if you want to go cheap or expensive.

Appreciate the advice Twisty! If that's a good range then I figure I'll stick myself right in the middle say $110-125. Maybe $150 if it's like an e-commerce site that needs lots of pages. Do you set a limit to how many pages you'll create?? I have to figure out limits, get some legal docs prepared, and then fix my PC that literally died 10 mind after deciding I would do this lol.

I don't do a page limit. I charge for the full website with domain etc.
