Well,
It's been about nine months now since I've launched Prismatica, and together we've managed to finally break through 1000 posts! (Granted, most of that is me just rambling about role playing games and anime, but I digress...)

And there's been some... structural changes to the site within that time period. For starters, I began the site as a dedicated playground for anime magical girls to role play within a specific fandom (realm). However, because that flopped, I reverted back towards more generalized discussions about anime and table top role playing games (TTRPGs). Gone are the dedicated categories for specific role playing games with the lore, rules, and fictional characters being self-contained. Now, Prismatica features distinct board groupings for categories (Administration, Anime, Role Playing, Inspiration, and Privileged). With a specific category just for the games. With this approach, I can host not only fun-filled role playing goodness, but also have intelligent discussions about the many, many, MANY role playing games (200+) that I have purchased, and I won't be boxed in to a specific anime fandom either-- for that matter, topics can also include many other discussions about a variety of media entertainment.

Now I just need to find some more people who are actually interested in talking about older anime (like 90s and early 2000s) and TTRPGs other than D&D (although, I wouldn't mind some comparison and contrast) And maybe there's somebody out there who may want to give some of these 200-some-odd games I have for a spin. Because right now, they're just sitting in my archive, collecting digital dust. Anyway, I've had some limited success finding people on Reddit and Threads, but perhaps I'm doing something wrong, because it seems as though people just don't stick around. Maybe, as harsh as this is to admit, I'm just a person with boring interests? Or perhaps I just don't understand marketing and advertising-- of course, that may also be cost-prohibitive as well. Whatever the reasons are, perhaps, if one of those people who enjoys hanging out on forums, bonding over fiction, and you like being creative, check out what I've done to the place?

It took you 9 months to reach 1k posts....yikes

Anyways, congrats on reaching 1000 posts. Hopefully you can get to 2k faster.

Good work hopefully the next milestones are easier to reach.

Congrats on 1000 posts!!! I hope you’re able to find some people who have the same interests!

Yes. I've been super busy with work/surviving life, and struggling with burnout and depression. Also, I've literally relaunched my forum a couple months ago, cleaned up the site, deleted the deadwood, so that set the post count back a bit. Running a role play website isn't a quick posting mechanism, and a good role play requires active community members (which is mostly what I'm lacking right now) So, I've had to pivot slightly.

Anyway, thank you everybody for your support. Let's indeed hope that reaching the next milestone is quicker. 😅

Congratulations on reaching 1,000 posts! Even if it took a bit, the good thing is you never gave up on your forum! Here's to the next 1,000 posts!

Thank you!
Yeah, I'm too determined... or maybe the word is stubborn? to give up. It's one of my passions that allows me to play with my other two passions! But wow, is finding people to commit in 2026 difficult!
