I am having a problem with every browser except IE. They're not connecting to the internet! Any help will be appreciated.

Might you be using a proxy?

If so you will have to put the proxy info in the other web browsers.

If you are not using proxies, then mind giving the error other browsers give you?

Nothing, they're just not connection to the internet. I even tried uninstalling and re-installing.

There is always an error message of sorts.

Like "connection timed out."

No, I just type in something, and it says

Cannot connect to the internet.

More specificaly:

Could not connect to proxy server. Access denied

You tried to access the address http://mods.ipbfree.com/, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working.

Ah it seems in your settings you have it set to use a proxy.

You need to disable that.

When I do, it says

Error!
Could not connect to remote server

You tried to access the address http://mods.ipbfree.com/, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.

Have you tried any other sites besides that one?

If so does it give the same error?

I've had this problem. I'll try and sort it out for you, but sorry if I'm unclear. I'm on a Mac right now so I can't double check stuff. I'll try and be specific, but just know I'm posting from my memory.

Click the icon with the two computers (*hopes your using XP*). This should take you to your Internet settings. Go to properties.

Scroll through the tabs and there should be a ticked boxed at the top. It will have something to do with your networks. Uncheck it, then check it again. Close your Internet Properties.

Internet should then work.

It might also be your Anti-virus software blocking other browsers connecting to the internet.

Add all exceptions to your anti virus and firewall to let in your internet browser, try what Fant said, try using CCleaner to clear your history etc, see if it works.

That is a good theory. I'll check that out, and change the settings.

You should try what fanta has said. That could be the problem aswell.

Also check your firewall settings too.

Firewall is probably the biggest issue right now with this because IE comes standard on the comp, so your FW knows it, you just have to get your FW to identify FF so it will allow access.
