Ok, on the forum-directory website it shows my forum as having a PR of two. Although when i did a separate PR check through google it came up as Zero. Any ideas on what's wrong?
Thanks

Many of the PR Checker websites do not work properly. You are best to check a few sites.

Don't really concentrate on PR is what I suggest. Yes it can help, but eh too many high pr sites have horrible google listings. I'd rather be at pr 0 with the top listing (which I had for quite a long time with previous forums).

All sites tend to show PR results differently and to my knowledge the directory doesn't always show up to date PR stats so that is doesn't have to check the pr of every site on every page load.

FP for a long time (many years) had no PR what so ever and we were high up in search results for alot of our main keywords and we were getting alot of traffic from search engines. Positioning is alot better then rank. I see PR as just bragging rights really. Same with Alexa rank.

phpLD isn't that great, once it sets your site as having a PR, it stays as that unless updated my an Administrator, regardless of whether or not the site still has that PR.

Fowler is right on all the other points though :great:

Ahh, I knew it definitely didn't update it every load.

Yeah it's a real bummer, if anyone complains I just set mine to "0" then it automatically updates, but no-one really does :great:
