Problem with theme javascript

I am planning to use this theme for one of my forums. But I need to customize it heavily, so I thought of installing it in WAMP and trying it out. But the javascript at the top of the page doesn't seem to work. Any idea what I can do to solve this ?

I see what you mean about the javascript. Did you mess with the html/javascript template files at all?

No, I never touched a thing. I just installed the theme and then found out that it was not working right.

Did you install it properly.

Ya, installation is very simple. Copy paste the folder and install it from the ACP. That's all I did. Doesn't seem to work.

Have you tried installing it on your main site and see if it works there?

Also have you got Javascript turned on via your browser? It might be using jQuery which will need a jQuery file to run it properly but then again that should be included in the package if it uses that.

What actually happens, do the buttons show up but don't use the effect?

Well, I installed it live in my forum and it works !

In that case there is nothing wrong with the style itself but the problem is with running it locally (possibly something your end) however I don't know what could be causing it though.
