ProBoards NO MORE!

Been at this for 2 solid weeks without a break. Learning cPanel, SMF, and whatever got thrown my way. But the Brawl Domain, after suffering for almost 2 years on Proboards, has made the leap onto our own hosting, and on SMF. May not be the favorite software around here ... but I LOVE it. Perfect for everything our forum needs and more.

Once I give some time for members to log on and make the jump ; I'll be redirecting my .com name over. But for now, I've also purchased brawldomain.net , which for now is the new forum url

A New Era has begun, and I'm so excited.

TayneC8, who provided me with a testing cPanel & SMF forum to learn everything from scratch.

Shotgun, who may not think so, but he really helped me in deciding the perfect hosting, and what exactly my forum would need when deciding so.

Kirisute Gomen, who can verify I had absolutely no clue what I was doing at first, but he guided me along the way, and really made this transition much smoother day by day.

el canadiano, who approached me and help get this conversion started, and prepped me on everything I need to be ready for.

nneonneo, the man behind converter, and the answer to my dilemna for the past 18 months of wanting off proboards. Just met him yesterday, and within 24 hours, had my forum converted, and ready to go! You the man, bro.

I remember way back when, it's been a long trip man. Glad to see the community switch over to something that can never die (at some point almost every ProBoards converter will disappear, but other software will always welcome a convert to them if SMF stops being updated).

It's actually possible to convert all posts from a proboards to a new host like that? And accounts? I never knew! It's the main reason I've always thought my board is stuck where it is for good.

A converter forum? Like...it takes posts, post DATES, accounts, account post counts and info and all that and just basically carbon copies it all to a new board???

If that's true, sorry for sounding so naive. By converter forum you mean a forum on here where this process can be discussed?
