Looks looks a great forum!

Maybe get a couple dozen more members and offer to advertise their site and yours - for a price.

You need to make sure that you are able to make money using a proboards forum. I'm not sure if they allow that.

You're on proboards?

Adsense (or any other context based automatic ad-serving service) is out. Unless you want to pay for ad-removal from proboards... But I really don't recommend it.
Using adsense on free forum hosts doesn't work that well because you have to pay to get ad-free credits (1 credit = 1 raw page view... so each time a bot, guest or member loads/refreshes/changes pages that counts as 1 page view each time.) Sure you might get like 50,000 pageviews for 5$ but you very likely won't earn 5$ through adsense quick enough to recoup what you spent. Not to mention the fact that adsense won't even pay out until you reach a balance of 100$.

You could create two (at most, any more than that just comes off desperate and greedy... especially on a free host) spots for small banners and then rent them out via forum promotion's market place (and collect payment via paypal). I wouldn't expect that much money though. Not unless you were getting a lot of hits.

You could sell links on your forum or get a donation service going. May not work, but worth a try.

Good old Pro boards. I think that pro boards is a proprietor software and doesn't allow for plugins when I last used it. Makes it harder to add plugins which enables post loops, google analytics, etc

With the release of v5, plugins are the huge thing. They have made it so much more customizable and a lot easier to customize. They have a handful of useful plugs featured on their site also. Members are constantly making new ones and adding them to the database.

I do not believe Proboards allow you to have ads like AdSense as there are already ads place and it breaks certain terms of service. The best money making method I can suggest is making paid membership really worthwhile.

I dibt understand?

To start making money off of your website you could do a few things. Offer premium perks, memberships etc. Allow advertising on your website so long as your host allows. Move your website off of proboards and put adsense on it. MyBB, PhpBB, SMF, and many others have great alternatives. You could also just make a website to go along side it, on the main website you could put related content and advertisements from adsense, buysellads, or something similar.
