So, for those of you who have taken the ACT or know about it, you will also know about the promise scholarship. The Promise scholarship is acquired by getting a 20 in all subjects of the ACT and a 22 or higher composite.
I came home today from eating Mexican and watching Abe Lincoln kill vampires to one of the best surprises I've had in a while. I got the Promise scholarship! For someone like me, it's a huge help when it comes to college.
My scores on the ACT were 27 composite, 31 in English, 24 in Mathematics, 30 in Reading, and 23 in science.
Congratulations, Matthew. My parents tried to get me to go ahead and take the ACT test a couple times my Sophomore year, but I decided to hold all of that college stuff until my junior year, just to keep the procrastinating tradition going, I guess. Needless to say, my junior year is going to be terrible. My brother scored a 27 his first time taking it his junior year. He took it a couple times his senior year, and he scored a 30 and a 32. I've got big expectations because of him, and I'm a really bad test taker so I don't think I'll be able to match his scores. 😛
