Promote our forums in geocities style

So back in the old web, when social media wasn't around, people had personal sites. And people use 88x32 buttons to link to each other and stay in touch as a community. I propose that as forum owners, we should do the same as it seems that people want to go back into the old web. I dont know if anyone saw that spacehey (MySpace) clone went viral last night and people were getting very nostalgic.

I think we should all link each other using 88x33 buttons on the footer of our forums so we can make an exciting and fun experience for our members to discover new content just like how geocities use to do it.

The Xenforo theme that I use on my site uses something similar if anyone wants to be linked let me know too 😀
 
This is a good ide to support each other, But do you realize a lot of forum owners would not want to do that for the fear of losing members.
