Promote using Twitter

If you use twitter, every now and then, post a forum link, ya never know how many will
see the forum.

Twitter.com is a social networking sites allowing it's users to 'tweet' messages containing 140 charters or less. It's unique design allows it to be compatible with all cell phones offering SMS services.

I use Twitter all the time, never really thought about using it for my sites, but all my sites are disabled due to network upgrades ~lol~

Maybe once they get back up this fall I'll look into using it more for that.

I knew it was possible, but I do not like Twitter... at all.
I'd consider doing it on Facebook, though. I even have a page for my forum on Facebook.

Because you don't have any friends? Just kidding. I don't use any of them either, so I can't say anything.

Anyways, I've never thought about using Twitter to promote my forums. I think they're more meant to promote blogs rather than forums.

Twitter only brings people to look at your forum, but won't make them register for an account.

once you're there its as easy as registering for a forum and boom! you're tweeting lol

Also, if you go to twitterfeed you can set it up to automatically post updates at your forum or blog to your twitter account. I ping my blog to my twitter feed and voila, looks like I update my twitter more than i do.
