Twitter is a great way to get traffic. However one mistake people make is just tweeting a link to their forum index. What you should do is link to forum posts!
Twitter is about conversations right? So send people right over and into your forums conversations. 😉 Also, people absolutely love videos. So post a video on your forum and then tweet about it and link 'em over to your post.
It is a good tool if you use it right. If you use it as a feed it is boring such as, New Topic - New Cars http://URL
You need to use it right like get them involved such as
Do you know what some of the newest cars are? Check that out here! URL
Also look at the hot topics list, check your forum for any of those as that will give you a extra 'boost'
I have Twitter, but I don't really care for it, though. And no, it's not because I don't have many followers. I just don't like being limited on how much you can say in your "tweets". I'm thinking of deleting my Twitter account and just creating a group on Facebook instead.
