Do you promote on Reddit? There are some subreddits that allow promotion, but there are others where you're not allowed to post links at all.

However, it is a good idea to start promoting your website or forum on Reddit if you're not already doing so, as their traffic continues to rise."

Reddit’s partnership with Google has helped them dominate various keywords on Google, so it’s certainly a goldmine and can help you attract new users & boast your traffic if you promote on there.

So, do you promote on Reddit or not really?

I have promoted my forums on reddit in the past. I actually got a good number of members on Gex forums from the subreddit, of course I asked the moderators of the sub if I could promote the forum there before just doing it.

I made a mistake of promoting my blog on reddit without earning enough Karma and my link got deleted. That was a long time ag.

You made a good approach and luckily, they were cool mods on those subReddits. The site has a very huge userbase and promotin your website there can help you get more users to join your community.

It’s not a platform that comes to mind when I think about promotions but clearly it has got its merits and maybe needs considered more!

I have never used that platform, but I'll stick to what I like.

No, I wouldn't rely on Reddit to get my forum out there. It's generally a cesspit, a bit like Twitter these days.

I think most subreddits do not allow posting links.
Some moderators are okay with promoting outside links, I was allowed to promote Gex Forums on the subreddit and even got some new members that way!

Reddit drives me nuts with their karma system. I rather not use Reddit.

I think it works for certain niches but as Reddit is already a forum it might be hard to get people to migrate off of it.
