I am just wondering what I can do to help expose my site and it's wide variety of topics. We also offer a downloadable toolbar and a bunch of services. How can we best position ourselves with regard to promoting?

I would suggest getting more content, it seems rather empty at the moment.

the first thing I'd suggest is that you get your own TLD domain and hosting for the forum. It will make it look a lot more professional and appealing.

Next I'd merge some of the forums in your forum index, so that each forum has more posts and hence appears busier. If you'd prefer not to merge them, you might make some of your forum sub-forums.

BTW do you do the Hijack This log analysis yourself?

Well, just keep advertising. It may take a year just to get 50 members. But hey, just keep advertising.
